12U HEAD COACH JASON PERRY
Born and raised in Plattsburgh, Jason began his Hockey Career with the Plattsburgh Youth Hockey Learn to Skate Program all the way through the Midget Program. During the summer hockey seasons, Jason played for the Troy Uncle Sam’s AAA, Boston Bulldogs AAA and the Syracuse Stars AAA Programs. He continued his career for Plattsburgh High School, where he played his Freshman and Sophomore Season. Jason also competed in the Hockey Night in Boston Showcase where he was chosen to represent Team New York. At 16, and a Junior in High School, Jason signed a contract to play for the Green Mountain Glades of the Eastern Junior A Hockey League. In his Junior year of High School, Jason competed in the Empire State Games for Team Adirondack and won a Silver Medal.
After two seasons with the Green Mountain Glades, and a true Freshman, Jason committed to playing College Hockey for Cortland State University. He played four years at SUNY Cortland and competed in 108 Career Games. Jason also played Varsity Baseball for SUNY Cortland. Since graduating from Cortland, Jason resides in Plattsburgh with his wife and three children. He has been coaching youth hockey from the Learn to Skate Program through the 16U Level for the last 12+ years for both the Girls and the Co-Ed Programs. Jason is an active member of the community where he also coaches both in the Plattsburgh Little League and Clinton County Mariners Programs.
Coach Jason’s philosophy is “Every moment is an opportunity to learn. Become a student of the game. Whether you are practicing, playing in a game, or watching a Plattsburgh State Game, always be learning”. His personal goals are to teach, develop, motivate, and inspire our young hockey players to be the best they can be.
Assistant Coach George Laundrie
Born and raised in Plattsburgh, George played 3 seasons of Plattsburgh Youth Hockey house league at the Crete Civic Center, 30 years ago! While his hockey career ended there, he went on to play varsity football and baseball for Plattsburgh High School. George graduated from the University of Maine, and while he did not play college sports there, playing pickup pond hockey in the Maine wilderness with friends was a yearly tradition. George now resides in Peru with his wife and 3 children, where he has also coached grasshopper, pee wee, and pony youth baseball. He has assistant coached with PYH for 2 seasons at the 10U and 12U levels with his son Nathan’s hockey teams. He hopes to pass on the values of hard work, respect, camaraderie, and sportsmanship he has learned in various sports over the years.
